2052022-202305-06-2022BILASPURPainting Competition on the Environment Day 2022On the occasion of World Environment Day, a children's painting competition was organized on the topic of contribution of chital in nature conservation under the joint aegis of YHAI, Forest Department and NBA in village Bagbudwa district Mungeli.After leaving at 6 o'clock in the morning, members reached Bagbudwa village where chital (spotted deer) resides. Situated between two rivers, Matiyari and Agar, this area once used to be a dense forest, now only the desolate ebb is visible. There is a large number of chital here, which live in small deserted areas and fields.With their protection, the process of planting trees again will be started in this area, which will be helpful in bringing back the greenery here.For this the purpose of today's program was to prepare the new generation here. By motivating the children through painting, they have to be prepared for environmental protection. Beginning of a new era.

A plantation program was organized under the leadership of Unit Treasurer D B Subba. On this occasion, the office bearers of Gorkhali Samaj Korba, members of Korba Unit were present. In organizing the program, the Unit Chairman Sandeep Seth and all the members got cooperation.
2082022-202305-06-2022DHAMTARIPoster & Painting Competition on World Environment DayPainting competition was organized in two categories.Junior Category (below 15 years old), with the theme - Me and My Environment Senior category (above 15 years) with the theme Carbon Free India. Participants including Mokshada Sahu, Harshvardhan Sahu, Sanskriti Gupta, Kavita Jain, Labdhi Jain, Archana Munjwani, Vidhi Jain, Hardik Jain, Aastha Saheb, Samridhi Gupta, Bhavya Mahavar, Aaradhya Shri Rajput etc. participated in this competition. Drawings made by the participants were judged by Chairman Yogesh Gupta, President Hukumchand Jain and Treasurer Venkateshwar Sahu and the paintings were selected for the first and second positions.

In the same vein, members of the Youth Hostel Raigad unit took a pledge to protect them by planting saplings for this reason too. Active members of the unit include Sanjay Debnath, President of Raigad unit, Treasurer Subash Panda and Mrs. Panda, Ajay Jaiswal and Mrs. Jaiswal, Scaria Varghese, Along with Shaiju Abraham, Praful Das, Rajesh Chaudhary and Munmun Chaudhary, small children also took a pledge to protect and care for them by planting saplings.Congratulating and appreciating the State Chairman Sandeep Seth and Secretary Mr. Subramanyam, said that this program of World Environment Day is being celebrated in an intensive manner not only in Chhattisgarh but by all the state units of all the youth hostels of the Country. The way nature is being exploited continuously and continuously, the day is not far away that our existence will also be in danger.Raigad Unit Secretary Suman Mandal expressed gratitude to all the members present. This episode of social consciousness is the B.P.Ed of Surana College, Durg. Entire program was organized with the joint efforts of Students, District Advocates Association and members of Badminton Club Durg.Rishikant Tiwari, President of Youth Hostels Association of India Bhilai Unit said that shady and fruit-bearing plants of various species including Peepal, Mango, Jamun, Neem, Kadamba were planted. According to Chairman K Subramanyam, the people present on this occasion also took a pledge to protect the environment. He informed about the more intensive tree plantation campaign by the Youth Hostels in the monsoon session.Secretary Rajesh Mahadik stressed on environmental protection and social commitment by connecting more and more people to Youth Hostels. He laid special emphasis on membership / Institutional membership to increase the number of members. Senior member Subodh Dewangan gave information about one-day trekking cum training camp and monsoon bike adventure trekking in the upcoming monsoon session in the upcoming plan.On this occasion of environmental consciousness and social concern, K. V. R. Murthy, Prashant Joshi, Prakash Dhindore, Neeraj Rathore, Almas, Tarakeswar Sahu, Paras Mahobia, Abhay Tiwari, Dhanendrakant Chandel and other advocates, members of badminton club and students of B.P.Ed of Surana College were present. Persons involved in the program was Mr Shailesh Shukla, Mr Mansoor Khan, Mr. Bhaskar Chourasia and Commander Sandeep Murarka along with other participants.

These clothes were collected by the members and public cooperation.Sandeep Seth, State Chairman said that such events are regular from time to time inspired by the social concern and humanitarian responsibility of the Youth Hostels. According to State Secretary K. Subramanyam, a section of the society is still deprived of basic amenities of life. In that class, if we can cooperate by showing our sensitivity and heart, then we feel mental happiness. This is our social reward and response.Bhilai Unit President Rishikant Tiwari said that the needy proletarians of all age groups were very happy to receive clothes. According to senior member Pankaj Mehta, Youth Hostels keeps on organizing programs like Environmental Awareness, Plantations, Blood Donation, Public Cleanliness, Anti-Polythene Campaign in the context of their social responsibilities. Madam Satyabhama flag off the event at 6AM from the collectorate historical building. She is a well known senior social worker and a very senior YHAI member. Around 45 members participated in the Heritage program Know your Bilaspur. The route covered heritage monuments and buildings which includes old temples , masjid , bridges etc. The event ended at Burgess School from where 3rd phase of the Heritage Cycling will Start on 15th May ( next weak) . Mr Bhaskar Chourasia, Commander Murarka, Shailesh Shukla, Mansoor Khan were deeply involved to make the program a grand success. State Chairman and Secretary congratulated the Bilaspur team for the successful program.

Mr. Santosh Gupta, 39 years old, teacher by profession and a member of YHAI, Bilaspur Un it CG State is on his way to Nepal with a slogan Safe India, Save Environment, Adopt Cycle. Earlier he has covered 23,800 Kms in fifteen months. Now in summer vacation he is travelling to and fro from Bilaspur(Chhattisgarh) to Nepal , approx. 3000 kms. Mr. Santosh Gupta is posted in primary school SALFA, which is 27 kms far away from Bilaspur. Mr. Gupta already covered Dongargarh, Chilipi, Sarodha, Dadar, Sambalpur (Odisha), Chaiturgarh and Achanakmar. Now his vision is to cover Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Golden Triangle and to motivate / educate the public about the benefits of cycling.Santosh Gupta was honored by Shri Atal Shrivastava, President of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Patron of Bilaspur Unit in honor of successful cycling journey from Bilaspur to Nepal with the message of environmental protection.
2162022-202301-05-2022JAGDALPURTrekking Training Cum Cleanship Drive at ChitrakootDear All, YHAI JAGDALPUR (Bastar) Adhoc unit organised One day Trekking Training cum cleanliness Drive Program on 1st May, in which near about 65 members participated in the program. Jagdalpur CCF Mohd Shahid flag off the YHAI PROGRAM. Labor day was celebrated at camp by honoring them and having Breakfast with them. Also 1st May 22 was celebrated as Bore - Basi day, a local festival of CG. Breakfast was followed by introduction session, Then a trek of about 4 KM was done till Chitrakote waterfall. Cleanliness drive was carried out at waterfall followed by Boating by one and all. Many games of traditional style was also played and winners were awarded. Members were Happy to join YHAI. Program was organised under the leadership of Navy Commander Sandeep Ji and convenor Anand ji. State Chairman and Secretary congratulated the team for their efforts.
