There are ancient Shiva temples and many architectural blocks on this island. Two very ancient Shiva temples of about 10th and 11th centuries are situated on this island. Around 95 members participated in the program from various units Korba, Bhilai, Raipur, Jagdalpur including Bilaspur. A trek of approx 9.5 KM was covered. The Program Included Trekking, Process of doing Natural Farming, making Wormi-compost, Delicious breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Snacks, Boating, Visiting Temples at Madku Dweep, Sua Dance followed by Certificate Distribution. The team members Shailesh Shukla , Bhaskar Chourasia, Mansoor Khan , Satyabhama Madam, CDR Sandeep Murarka, Yash Mishra and Samir Ahmed were involved from Bilaspur Unit to make the program a Grand Success. Other State officials who were present in the program included Sandeep Seth, K Subramanyam, Satish Shukla, Rahul Gupta, D B Subba, Shailendra Namdeo and Manoj Mishra. State President Sunil Vishnoi Congratulated the team on the completion of a successful program.

Detail outline was prepared to conduct social service and creative programs throughout the year. Competition was also organized for male and female members in a family atmosphere. In which the members participated with enthusiasm and displayed their excellent sportsmanship skills. Bhilai Unit Chairman and Secretary K. Subramanyam and Subodh Dewangan apprised the members and other dignitaries about the objectives, works and social service activities of the YHAI and insisted on leading a thrilling life by being a member of the organization. Rishikant Tiwari, President Bhilai Unit, gave a welcome speech and enthused the members about the work of the organization. At the end of the ceremony, the winners of the competitions were awarded by Unit Chairman K. Subramanyam.
1712023-202409-01-2023BHILAIFamily meeting of Youth Hostels concluded Organized a family get-together on the occasion of New Year at Atithi Restaurant, Pulgaon Road, Durg; In which a total of 50 members of the organization including men, women and children participated enthusiastically. On this occasion, the outline of social, creative and tracking training activities to be done in this session was decided.Giving detailed information regarding the event in the welcome speech, President of the organization, Rishikant Tiwari said that this event was organized to make more and more people aware of the basic objective of Youth Hostels and to increase the publicity of the organization. The organization basically organizes tourism and adventure activities along with creating awareness towards nature and environmental protection. It remains continuously active in its social concerns and other creative activities. Chairman K. Subramaniam said that through youth hostels we get acquainted with the untouched aspects of nature; Youth hostels provide all facilities including subsidized accommodation and food to such remote and inaccessible geographical places where it is generally not possible for a common man to go.According to Secretary Rajesh Mahadik, family entertaining and interesting competitions were also organized on this occasion; In which all the members participated enthusiastically and were very happy. Senior members Pankaj Mehta and Subodh Dewangan said that youth hostels are a powerful platform for national unity.Through this, we get acquainted with the culture, food, language dialect and ethics of the people of different language speaking areas. Through this, one gets an opportunity to become aware of the geographical scenery of different regions. On this occasion, writer Sanjeev Tiwari and budding singer Om Tiwari, the biographer of freedom fighter and the first creator of Chhattisgarhi dictionary Ghanshyam Singh Gupta, were also honoured. President Rishikant Tiwari and Chairman K. Subramaniam jointly announced the formation of Chhattisgarh's first youth hostels women's wing under the leadership of Smita Mahadik.In making the event successful. Subramaniam, K. Sindhu, Rishikant Tiwari, Shweta Tiwari, Pankaj Mehta, Dr. Subodh Dewangan, Dr. Omkumari Dewangan, Rajesh Mahadik, Smita Mahadik, Rajkumar Rastogi, Priya Rastogi, Dr. Hema Kulkarni, Dr. Vandana Dhandore, Mahendra Dewangan, Bhumika Dewangan, Devjyoti Banerjee, Jhilmil Banerjee, Mohd. Almas, Sabina Naaz, Yogesh Pandey, Kiran Pandey, Omprakash Sharma, Anshu Sharma, Prakash Dhandore, Rashmi Dhandore, Shailendra Sharma, Alka Sharma, Sanjeev Tiwari, Surbhi Tiwari and others had a commendable role. After campfire and dinner, the event was concluded with the resolve to promote the upgradation of the organization.
1722022-202304-01-2023DHAMTARIYHAI Dhamtari Unit CG State organised a awareness campaign Rescue of Terror from Elephants.The office bearers of the Dhamtari unit of YHAI paid a courtesy visit to the Divisional Forest Officer, Dhamtari. Chairman Yogesh Gupta informed the Forest Officer about the form prepared by the organization in which measures have been given to protect wild elephants. President Mr. Hukum Chand Jain requested him to make arrangements to distribute this form in elephant affected villages with the help of his supporting staff so that the people of the affected areas could be made aware.Mr. Pandey welcomed this idea and urged the members of Dhamtari unit to stay with the Forest Department officials at the time of distribution of forms and cooperate in making people aware. In today's discussion, President of Dhamtari unit Hukum Chand Jain, Chairman Yogesh Gupta, senior members Dr. Anant Dixit and Ramesh Dev were involved. State Chairman Congratulated the team for the Noble Cause.

CDR Sandeep Murarka, Anil Lukand, S L Gupta, Rekha, V S Jha and Vinit Agrawal ji helped him for stay, site seeing etc. At Korba Sandeep Seth, D B Subba, Rahul Gupta, Nilu Subba, Suman Seth and others coordinated with him for his stay arrangements. We arranged the visit to different places during his 2 days trip to korba Thermal Power Station Visit (DSPM Korba), Darri Barrage (Dam), Sarvmangla Temple,Bhawani Temple, Satrenga,Devpahari water Fall. State President Sunil Vishnoi made stay arrangements at Raipur. Shailesh Shukla made all arrangements at Bilaspur.

1752022-202323-12-2022RAIPURYHAI Raipur Unit CG State organised 2D2N Trekking and Training Program at Chitrakoot Jagdalpur.Youth Hostel Association of India Raipur Unit CG State organized 3D2N Trekking & training camp at Bastar District from 23rd to 25th Dec 2022. The biggest program by YHAI CG State consisted of around 150 students and members from all over Chhattisgarh. State President Shri Sunil Vishnoi and Chairman Sandeep Seth lead the whole team. They got full support from 6 other district Shailesh Shukla, Sameer Ahmed from Bilaspur, Ashok Jhabak, Shashank Moghe from Raipur, Hukum Jain, Yogesh Gupta, Ramesh Deo from Dhamtari, Rahul Gupta, Ravindra Jaiswal from Korba , Subash Panda from Raigarh and Commander Sandeep Murarka, Vinit Agrawal, Ms. Rekha, V.S.Jha. S L Gupta, Anil Lukkad from Jagdalpur. State Chairman Sandeep Seth informed that paticipant fully enjoyed the program of YHAI which consisted of Camp fire, trekking and training at Teerathgarh , Chitrakoot, Visit to Danteshwari Temple, Raja Palace , Dalpat Sagar Lake, played game Tug of War, ATB bike ride followed by certificate distribution. Two student Tanisha Agrawal and Ansh Patel 's birthday was also celebrated at Tourism Resort by cutting a 10 pound cake. State President Sunil Vishnoi in his words told that they got a warm welcome and full support by CG Tourism resort manager Ram Tiwari and Nimesh sahu. Director of Kanger Valley National Park IFS Dhammasheel Ganveer ji also received the tourists at Tirathgarh waterfall and told important things about cleanliness and wildlife and Kanger Valley in his address. All the participants reached to their locations after the successful program.

Under the leadership of group leader Rupesh Tank, the members will represent Youth Hostels Chhattisgarh by actively participating in various tourist places in and around Dalhousie, trekking, horse riding, rafting, paragliding, rock climbing and other exciting events.Exchange of culture, language, dialect and lifestyle of Himachal and Chhattisgarh.Secretary K. Subramanyam said that this group includes members from all the units of Chhattisgarh, Raipur and Bhilai. The members will visit India's Switzerland Khajjiar, Dainkund Peak, St. Francis Catholic Church, Panchpula, Satdhara Falls, Ganji Pahari, Subhash Baoli, Bakrota Hills, Rangmahal, Chamba and various beautiful natural landscapes in and around it during their weeklong program. Members will also enjoy Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary and very beautiful scenery of Beas, Ravi and Chenab rivers in their scheduled program.President of Bhilai unit, Rishikant Tiwari, based on the conversation with the members, said that the members have been extremely impressed by the culture and food of Himachal Pradesh. He was also very thrilled to see the snow-covered white mountains. The beauty of the huge dense cedar trees located around Khajjiar Lake captivated the minds of the members.This group of Dalhousie Trekking includes Asmita Patel, Alka Yadav, Unnati, Bhavika, Rajveer, Deepesh, Harshit, Palash, Bhavesh and other members of Youth Hostels Association of India Chhattisgarh. The members of Youth Hostels Durg Bhilai have wished them a happy and safe journey.

Adventure program constituted of crossing the mountain by rope, campfire, tea breakfast , lunch and dinner. Every year in Jagdalpur on the eve of Kartik Purnima Lapms(DIYAs) are enlighten on the bank of Dalpat Sagar. This year also 1.81 Lakh Diya's are lit. *YHAI Jagdalpur(Adhc) unit collected fund from its members and donated 21000 Diya's and One Tin of Oil for the same.* During day time the Lapms & Oil Tin was donated and in the evening our team worked as volunteers in the event. YHAI members donated the items in presence of Jagdalpur Mayor Smt. Safira Sahu. Other members who were present were CDR Sandeep Murarka, Shankar Lal Gupta, Vidhu Shakhar Jha, Anil agrawal, Lalit Agrawal, Koteshwar Rao and Vinit Agrawal. 1802022-202320-11-2022RAIGARHDrawing and Painting CompetitionYHAI Raigarh Unit CG State organized Inter School drawing & painting competition on World Children’s Day 20.11.2022 at Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission, Raigarh. Around 80 School students participated in the program. The competition was categorized in 4 different categories age wise, and further sub categorized on the Topic a) Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav b) Environment and c) Awareness to avoid Single Use Plastic. The results will be declared soon after the judgment. The program was conducted under the supervision of Unit Vice President Babua Das. Chairman Ajay Jaiswal and Treasurer Subash Panda streamlined the whole program and were well supported by Vice President Prashant Mishra and Secretary Shaiju Abraham. Unit President Sanjay Debnath informed that many more such programs will be conducted in future. State Chairman Sandeep Seth congratulated the whole team for the successful completion of the program.
