A meeting of members was organized by the Youth Hostels Association of India Bhilai unit regarding the upcoming events in the financial session 2024-25. Meeting held at Bhilai Niwas Indian Coffee House; Member of Indore unit Yogendra Deshmukh was also given a warm welcome. It may be noted that guest Yogendra Deshmukh has come to Chhattisgarh and Durg Bhilai on a personal visit. He described the natural beauty and greenery of Chhattisgarh as rich and full of possibilities from the tourism point of view. He said that Chhattisgarh is a state suitable in every way and has abundant potential for organizing national level events.Giving detailed information, Secretary of Chhattisgarh State Branch and Chairman of Bhilai Unit K. Subramanyam said that it has been the tradition of the association that if members of other units visit in a personal or official manner, members are etc., welcomed and respected. In continuation of this healthy tradition, Yogendra Deshmukh of Indore unit was welcomed and honored. On this occasion, he was also presented a memento by the Bhilai Unit.Bhilai Unit President Adv. Rishikant Tiwari said, intensive discussions were held by the members for the coming days, trekking at Local and State Level. It was agreed to finalize the format for the event in the month of July and issue notification immediately. For the e-magazine of June, members were requested to share their participation experiences in the current activities of Youth Hostels. Bhilai Unit Secretary Dr. Subodh Dewangan, Suresh Rao, Mohanlal Sahu, Subrata Vikas Chaudhary, Kamlesh Verma, Brij Bihari Mishra, Omkar Singh Chandrakar, Nikhil Tripathi, Shailendra Sharma and others were present in the event.

Various programs were organized by Youth Hostels Association of India Bhilai unit on the occasion of World Environment Day. Tree plantation in Bhilai was organized by the members and environmental awareness was organized jointly with the National Service Scheme students of Girls College Durg.Bhilai unit chairman K. Subramaniam said that from 6 to 8 in the morning, various types of plants were planted by the members in Sector 09 and tree guards were also installed for safety. Among these, the main plants were Mango, Neem, Amla, Jamun, Banyan, Peepal, Jackfruit, Karanj, Amaltas, Gulmohar, Champa. The members who planted trees also took a pledge to protect the plants and protect the environment. President of the organization, Rishikant Tiwari said that an environmental awareness rally was organized jointly with the students of National Service Scheme of Government Dr. Vaman Vasudev Patankar Girls Post Graduate College, Durg at 11 am. The girl students will come to the rally only when there will be greenery and plants to be looked after. Secretary Subodh Dewangan said that at 12 noon, an exhibition of postage stamps focused on environment was organized by Suresh Rao, senior founder member of Bhilai unit, in room number 12 of the college. Out of curiosity, curious questions were asked by the girl students and college staff regarding the tickets of the exhibition, regarding which detailed information was given by Suresh Rao.
272023-202421-01-2024BHILAIYHAI Bhilai Unit CG State organized one day trekking cum training program at Hazra Falls Kachargarh on 21.01.2024.YHAI Bhilai Unit CG State organized one day trekking cum training program at Hazra Falls Kachargarh on 21.01.2024.Kachargarh in Dongargarh area, about 110 km from Durg, Bhilai. Members from Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon including Durg Bhilai participated in the event. 132 members of all age group took part in n the trekking. Unit President Rishikant Tiwari said that the natural beauty of Kachargarh surrounded by mixed forests rich in biodiversity invites everyone for exciting trekking with the family. Kachargarh is famous for its attractive natural beauty and amazing caves. The caves here are also counted among the big natural caves of Asia. Situated amidst dense forests and rugged hills, Kachargarh is also the center of faith of the Gond tribals. Program was organized under the leadership of Unit Chairman K. Subramanyam supported by Subodh Dewangan, Pankaj Mehta and others.In making the event successful old members ,Army persons, Doctors, Professors , School teachers and student, other persons working in GST, SAIL, Bank, District Court, Income Tax Department and other departments were too involved. State President and Chairman Congratulated the team for the successful program.

In which members enjoyed the natural beauty of lush green forests and mountains. Members thrilled to see the beautiful panoramic view all around from the Killewadi Hill Temple. 4 Kms trek was organized. Our members working with Civil Defense Services in Railways organized a rappelling program for the members. Members enjoyed this activity; new members were much excited to see the activity and suggested to organize rappelling and river crossing activity in every trek.

Youth hostellers enjoyed exciting adventure trekking in Sarai Patera and fascinating natural beauty and water sports in Thadha-pani Waterfall. In this bike adventure cum trekking organized with the aim of environmental protection and 100 percent voting awareness, the participants covered a total distance of 300 km in one day. From Zero Point Collectorate Durg, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha and District Advocates Association President Neeta Jain sent off the forty participants after the national anthem, wishing them a happy journey and waving the green flag. Unit president Rishikant Tiwari informed that the bike trekkers will travel from Durg to Nagpura, Jalbandha, Khairagarh, Chhuikhadan, Chhindari Dam, Pipariya Nala, Baitalrani Valley, Salhewara, Thadhpani Waterfall Saraipatera, Dongeshwar Mahadev, Narmaddham, Maa Gangai Temple. Gandai, Maa Mahamaya Temple via Dhamdha. Reached back to Durg by 10.30 pm. A car was also kept with us as a precaution in case of emergency. In this bike trekking, eight-year-old girl K. Stuti, Mrs. Dr. Omkumari Dewangan and Mrs. Kiran Chandrakar, was especially noteworthy. Members who were involved in organizing this adventure trekking are Chairman (K.Subramanyam), Secretary (Dr. Subodh Dewangan), Treasurer (Pankaj Mehta) along with other team members. State President Sunil Vishnoi and Chairman Sandeep Seth congratulated the team for the successful programme.

This campaign was organized by the college. It was completed by the girl students of CC unit. Nature conservation in the hands of girl students in the rally and There were also attractive posters with elegant messages focusing on various topics related to environmental awareness; They carried out mass communication by raising slogans and reached the college again from the college via sports ground, market square, bus stand and police station.
352023-202417-05-2023BHILAIYHAI Bhilai UnitI Neetu singh, along with my family attended Srinagar family camp 2023 from 17th may to 24th may organised by Youth hostel Association of India in Srinagar. I must say that it was a pleasant experience for whole of my family. The venue was in itself so beautiful that that we were very impressed with it -tenting accommodation in an apple orchid with mountain range in the backdrop and river flowing with its sound easily heard was all enchanting. Our day started with tea and breakfast and packed Lunch was provided to us for the journey. In the first day of our trip be visited Pahalgam. We were having options to either visit chandanwadi and Aru Valley or either to visit Biseran Valley. We opted for visiting the Mini Switzerland also called Biseran Valley. The Gateway to Pahalgam was in itself so heartt touching as the magnificent view of Lidder river all along the Pahalgam was unforgettable. We enjoyed trecking the Biseran Valley on horses. The beauty of the place was splendid. On the second and third day of our trip, we visited Gulmarg the valley of flowers, Kheer Bhawani temple, Manasbal lake and Enjoyed Shikara ride. We also enjoyed traditional photoshoot in the Badamwadi campus. But the most enchanting journey was still left. We visited Sonamarg valley and Thajiwas glacier at the last day of our trip. In spite of taking horses we decided to track up to Glacier which was approximately a distance of 7 km. All along the narrow lanes in the mountain, we walked parallel to the horses and immersed into the enchanting beauty of the Sonamarg valley. All along our trek, the gorgeous Glacier river with crystal Clear Water was flowing. After reaching the destination we enjoyed sledge ride and walked back to our destination. What I want to say is that it was an all encompassing trip with great hospitality and guidance given by youth hostel Association of India. I I express my sincere thanks to the organisation for giving me such a lifetime experience.
