A one-day monsoon trekking and training program was successfully organized on 14th September 2025 at Kunadhas Waterfall located in Khairagarh district. A total of 55 participants, including men and women of all age groups from Durg-Bhilai, Raipur and Rajnandgaon took part in this adventurous and nature-filled event. During the trek, members also enjoyed the natural and thrilling beauty of Dongeshwar Mahadev Temple (Chordradhama) and the Betalrani Valley. The Key contributors to the success of this event included Rishikant Tiwari, President – Durg-Bhilai Unit , Sudhir Awadhiya, Vice President, K. Subramaniam, Chairman, Hemlal Devangan, Treasurer, Subodh Devangan, Secretary, Minesh Mishra, Coordinator Rajnandgaon Unit . Their dedicated efforts played a significant role in making the event a grand success.
22025-202601-09-2025BHILAIYHAI CG State Units Hold “Sleep for Peace” Campaign & Trekking at Bhothli Bhujari on 01 sep 2025.YHAI CG State Units Hold “Sleep for Peace” Campaign & Trekking at Bhothli Bhujari on 01 sep 2025.Durg-Bhilai/Rajnandgaon: The Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), Chhattisgarh State Durg-Bhilai and Rajnandgaon Adhoc Units, organised the global campaign Sleep for Peace with the theme “Say HI for Peace” , along with a one-day trekking program at Bhothli Bhujari Waterfall.As part of the peace initiative, members distributed books, stationery, toys, chocolates, and juices to school children of Bhujari village and clothes to villagers of all ages . A peace march was also conducted to spread the message of harmony. Around 90 participants from Durg-Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, and Khairagarh trekked nearly two kilometres through rocky terrain to reach the Bhothli Bhujari Waterfall, where they enjoyed water activities. The program was coordinated by senior members Rajesh Mishra (Khairagarh) and Minesh Mishra (Rajnandgaon), with leadership support from Unit President Rishikant Tiwari, Chairman K. Subramaniam, and Secretary Subodh Dewangan.

Members from Durg Bhilai, Rajnandgaon and Raipur also participated in this event. A total of 42 male and female members of all age groups participated & visited various archaeological and historical sites of the region. During trekking, the members visited a total of eight sites of archaeological and historical importance. All the sites represent the rich heritage of Chhattisgarh.

YHAI Bhilai Unit, in collaboration with the Sub-Secretarial Staff Training Unit of the Income Tax Department, organized a one-day trekking and training program at Shringi Rishi Parvat, Sihawa Nagri, around 150 km from Durg-Bhilai. A total of 50 participants of all age groups took part in the trek. Key highlights included visits to Shanta Cave, Hathi Talab, Shringi Rishi Ashram, the origin of the Mahanadi River, and Karneshwar Mahadev Temple. The event\\\'s success was made possible through the contributions of Rishikant Tiwari, K. Subramaniam, Subodh Dewangan, Hardeep Singh Gill, Manjeet Kaur Gill and all the trainee staff from the Income Tax Departments.

In which more than 125 blood donors donated blood voluntarily. Regarding the event, blood donor K. Subramanyam said that by donating blood voluntarily we can save the lives of many needy people.

The Triennial Election of office bearers of Youth Hostels Association of India Bhilai unit was completed unopposed. President Rishikant Tiwari, Vice President Sudhir Awadhiya and Mahendra Dewangan, Chairman K Subramanyam and Treasurer Hemlal Dewangan were elected in the election process held at Indian Coffee House Sector 10, Bhilai. Their tenure will be for three years from 2025 to 2028. The newly elected office bearers unanimously nominated Subodh Dewangan for the post of Secretary. Pankaj Mehta - APC , Mrs. Suman Mandve - CPC , P.K. Singh - EPC , Deepak Kumar Diman - ITC were nominated. Mohanlal Sahu from Korba unit was observer, Senior member of Bhilai unit P.K. Singh was election officer. Ms. Shravani Sengupta and Ms. Shilpi Sarkar were present in the scrutiny committee. On this occasion, founder member of Bhilai unit Mr. S. Suresh Rao and Senior member Mr. P.K. Singh were honored for their overall contribution.
