YHAI Bilaspur Unit CG State organised an interactive session on 06.08.2025 at PM Shri Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Kota (District Bilaspur).An interaction session was held on 06.08.2025 with the students of PM Shri Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Kota (District Bilaspur) by the Youth Hostels Association of India, Bilaspur Unit. During this session, students were informed about the various activities organized by YHAI. Discussions were held on how activities like trekking, hiking, camping, cycling, and excursions are essential for their overall development. The interaction was attended by Unit Secretary Mr. Shailesh Shukla and Joint Secretary Mr. Mansoor Khan, along with the schools lecturer Mr. Devendra Thakur and Sports Teacher Mr. Raju Thakur. An excursion to Kanan Pendari for the students of Kota School has been scheduled for August 19, organized by the Youth Hostels Association. State team members congratulated the team bilaspur for the program.

The triennial elections of the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), Bilaspur Unit (Chhattisgarh State), were successfully conducted on August 3, 2025, at the Country Club, Koni. Elected Office Bearers are President- Prof. Bhaskar Chourasia, Chairman: Retd. Commander Sandeep Murarka , Vice Presidents: Sameer Ahmed, Mrs. Deepa Tandon , Treasurer- Aniruddha Agrawal , Nominated Members Secretary- Shailesh Shukla , Joint Secretary- Mansoor Khan, APC- Retd. Commander Bhakti Gokhale , EPC- Yash Mishra, CPC- Har Prasad Sahu, Executive Members- Mrs. Satyabhama Awasthi, Ajay Gupta, Mohita Vajpai, Pankaj Panchayati, Dushyant Sahu, Neeraj Pandey. Election Officials were - Observer: Mr. Prem Lal Milendra, Chief Election Officer- Prof. Rajendra Mehta, Scrutiny Officer- Dr. Satyendra Kumar Nirala, Chairman Cdr. Murarka shared that the Bilaspur Unit recorded the highest institutional memberships in the state and conducted various youth activities such as trekking, cycling, biking, and study tours. The unit also proudly represented Chhattisgarh’s traditional Gedi dance during YHAIs 75th anniversary celebration in Delhi. In addition to adventure programs, the unit has been active in social service initiatives like tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, and events for differently-abled children. The newly elected team aims to continue this work with dedication and enthusiasm. State President Shri S. Vishnoi, Chairman Sandeep Seth, and Secretary K. He is a Four-time South Asian Satorio Karate Champion (from Nepal), 6 Dan Black Belt Shrihan from Japan, Ethan from Europe (World's Strongest Man), Shri Chandan Samjdar Ji is a life member of Youth Hostel Association of India. He has already completed a 40-day solo cycle trip (4500 km) in 2022 to raise funds for Thalassemia victims.The aim of undertaking such an adventurous journey even at the age of 60 is "Protect Our Mother Nature" . He will cover a distance of 25000 KM during his journey. The Yatra was flagged off by retired Col. Rakesh Singh Bisen and retired Group Captain Y Srinivas from Nehru Chowk, Bilaspur on 19 February 2025 at 8 am.

Team-A scored 102 runs with 6 wickets and Team B won, scored 103 runs in 8.5 overs with 3 wickets in hand. Members who participated in the match from YHAI are Shailesh Shukla, Sandeep Seth, Rajesh Kurmi, E Jayan. Shailesh Shukla scored 32 runs, Sandeep Seth scored 28 run and remained not out. Shri Shyam Badpalli bhaiya Ex CSEB Employee and Karan Bhaiya, Businessman were the the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. All the participants were awarded with YHAI certificates. Guests were honored by small mementos. Many participants filled form of YHAI and took membership also. YHAI members thanked the School Teachers for involving YHAI in the program.

Around 70 members participated in the program. The program consisted of 8 KM Trekking, Fooding, Certification and a cultural program by Govt School Kids of village . YHAI honoured the participants and awarded cash award. Yhai members also distributed Blankets to the villagers. Students of the villagers were given study material also comprising of Copy , compass, pen , pencil , Sharper, etc. The participants, villagers enjoyed the overall program. Members from Bhilai, Raipur and Korba unit also participated in the Bilaspur unit program. State Chairman Sandeep Seth also joined the program.

Heritage Educational trip for Students was organized from 15th to 17th Nov 2024. Around 63 members participated in the program. The Principal of School Ms. Madhulika congratulated to all for the successful completion of the program. The program was comprised of visit to Tin Tin Stone, Jaljali, Tibetan Monastery (Old and New), Tibetan Camps, Reverse Water, Tiger Point, Mehta Point, Sunset Point, Ram Van Gaman Path, Sita Bengra Caves at Ramgarh , Certificate distribution ceremony , delicious food throughout the trip. The program was organised under the leadership of State VP Shailesh Shukla. He was assisted by Korba Treasurer PL Mirendra, State VP Satish Shukla and State Executive Dr. Nishant Agrawal. During the whole program, every kid exhibited appropriate discipline. The decisions were implemented with great cooperation from the school staff members Uttam Kumar Sahu, Urvashi Gupta and Pritam Kumar Yadav. Around 140 participants were present including members from Raipur, Korba and Bilaspur. It involved 3 buses, 5 car and few bikes. The program was organised under the leadership of Unit President Bhaskar Chourasia ,Chairman CDR Sandeep Murarka, and Secretary Shailesh Shukla at Chaiturgarh, 85 Km from Bilaspur. The highlight of program was 8KM trek, Viewing of ancient historical temple, Conduction of drawing Competition on Nature Conservation along with breakfast , lunch and evening tea.80 college students and professors were present. Participants went home with unforgettable memories of the day as they all enjoyed the trip.

In this, the photos taken with one's camera had to be submitted along with a story. This program included dialogue, poetry, question hour and photo-related stories. First of all in the dialogue, CSP of Bilaspur Umesh Kumar Gupta (IPS) told the youth how he prepared for UPSC and gave them guidance. After this, photographer Satyaprakash Pandey ji and others told the stories of their selected photos and how a photo becomes headlines. Apart from this, professional people related to photography also participated in the dialogue. Bhaskar Chaurasia, Shailesh Shukla, Anjali, Riya, Ghazal etc. participated in it on behalf of Youth Hostel Bilaspur Unit.

Chairman Sandeep Seth, Flag off the rally from Ghantaghar at 8AM. Around 50 Participants joined the event. Really concerned 170KM distance korba, Coffee point, devpahari, satrenga, Bango, Katghora and back to korba. Program included breakfast, Lunch evening snacks and tea . Snake rescue trainer Avinash Yadav ji gave training to members to deal with snake bite and also gave detail information of Snakes. Lunch made in Chulha was made by Jagriti Samuh ladies at Satrenga. Progran ended up with certificate distribution. Program was lead by Sandeep Seth, State Chairman. Shailendra Namdeo and PL Mirendra ji were Rally coordinator. Many new members also joined the program. Reena,Kalpana, ShivKumari, Shailesh, Bhaskar, Sharda, Meena, Rahul, Tribhuvan, Commer Sandeep actively helped in organising the program. Arvind, BalGovind, Ratna,Renu, Jaiprakash, Rajesh, Jainendra, Rita, Bhooshan, Vikas made the event a grand success.

Here the children learned how the traffic of the entire Bilaspur city is controlled at one place. How challans are issued to errant vehicles and how those challans are sent to them. Apart from this, how water supply is managed in smart city, how it is operated smartly from one place. General Manager of Integrated Center, Group Captain Shri V. Y. Srinivasan and his team members explained to the children the method of operating this control unit in simple language, which was explained to the children Mrs. Bharti Chandra in sign language. The program was free of cost for the children and was managed by YHAI Bilaspur unit exclusively. The program was organised under the leadership of CDR Sandeep Murarka and Shailesh Shukla.
