The journey started from Nehru Chowk , Bilaspur, and proceeded through Ratanpur – Lafa – Jemra – Pahadi Dumri, where participants rode through challenging routes with courage and enjoyed the natural beauty along the trail. The team then reached Kenda, and from there continued via Kariaam – Bastibagara – Raha Rawa – Chaitma, finally returning to Bilaspur. The total distance covered during this adventurous ride was 240 km. The program was successfully conducted under the leadership of Unit President Mr. Bhaskar Chaurasia and Mr. Shailesh Shukla, with excellent support from Executive Members Mr. Ajay Gupta, Mr. Dushyant Sahu, and Mr. Neeraj Pandey.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 32 members. The team commenced the journey at 8:45 AM and reached the venue to take part in trekking and training activities amidst serene natural surroundings. To add fun and strengthen team spirit, a lively Housie session was conducted, along with a series of games and recreational activities for children, youth, and adults—all participated with great enthusiasm and festive joy. Special emphasis was placed on environmental cleanliness, ensuring that no litter was left behind—reflecting YHAI’s strong commitment to nature conservation. This memorable event was graced by Mr. Sandeep Seth, Chairman, YHAI Chhattisgarh State, who enlightened members about YHAI and its benefits. The programme was organised under the leadership of Mr. Ajay Kumar Jaiswal, President, and ably supported by Mr. Vikas Patel (Chairman), Mr. Subhash Chandra Panda (Treasurer), and Mr. Prashant Pandey (Secretary). Their guidance and teamwork contributed immensely to the success of the event. At the conclusion, participation certificates were distributed to all attendees, while prizes ? were awarded to the winners of various games. The group returned to Raigarh at 5:15 PM, marking the end of a day filled with joy, unity, and festive spirit. The event featured evening tea, dinner, and kheer at midnight. Everyone enjoyed the experience. Around 40 participants from various age groups, including some from Raipur, took part. The trekking route was planned by Unit President Ramesh Dev and Treasurer Venkateshwar Sahu. Senior State Council member Dr. Anant Dixit briefed new participants about the association's work and the tradition of organizing such treks during Sharad Purnima. Fun games were conducted by Manish Chandrakar, Ekta Singh, Dr. Preeti Verma, Kajal Moonjwani, and Lakshmi Dewangan. The temple committee was honored with a gifted clock, and several members including National Council Member Yogesh Gupta, APC Dhananjay Sonkar, and others from Raipur and Joshimath joined the event.

A one-day monsoon trekking and training program was successfully organized on 14th September 2025 at Kunadhas Waterfall located in Khairagarh district. A total of 55 participants, including men and women of all age groups from Durg-Bhilai, Raipur and Rajnandgaon took part in this adventurous and nature-filled event. During the trek, members also enjoyed the natural and thrilling beauty of Dongeshwar Mahadev Temple (Chordradhama) and the Betalrani Valley. The Key contributors to the success of this event included Rishikant Tiwari, President – Durg-Bhilai Unit , Sudhir Awadhiya, Vice President, K. Subramaniam, Chairman, Hemlal Devangan, Treasurer, Subodh Devangan, Secretary, Minesh Mishra, Coordinator Rajnandgaon Unit . The program was held under the leadership of State Chairman, Mr. Sandeep Seth, at Khetar village and Dhiharin Jhooja, located about 25 KM from Korba. Around 40 members of the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) enthusiastically participated in the event.As part of the global campaign “Say HI for Peace”, sweets and stationery were distributed to village school children. Members also enjoyed water sports, lunch, high tea, and cultural bonding activities. Active members including P. L. Mirendra, Kalpana,Swati and Tribhuvan contributed significantly to the success of the program. Certificates were awarded by the Chief Guest, Shri A. Y. Tomar (SE, CSPGCL) and Guest of Honour, Shri M. C. Soni.Many new members also took part along with the old members. Shiv Kumari, Shraddha, Babli, Myra, Navita, Beli, Padma, Ritika, Alka, Deepesh, R. R. A peace march was also conducted to spread the message of harmony. Around 90 participants from Durg-Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, and Khairagarh trekked nearly two kilometres through rocky terrain to reach the Bhothli Bhujari Waterfall, where they enjoyed water activities. The program was coordinated by senior members Rajesh Mishra (Khairagarh) and Minesh Mishra (Rajnandgaon), with leadership support from Unit President Rishikant Tiwari, Chairman K. Subramaniam, and Secretary Subodh Dewangan.

We are delighted to share that Shri Sanjeev Kansal, Chief Engineer (DSPM, TSPO), has graciously accepted the patronship of the Youth Hostel Korba Unit.A delegation of core members including Satish Shukla, P. L. Mirendra, Shiv Kumari, Kalpana, and Unit Chairman Sandeep Seth visited the CSEB plant to present the proposal. They were accompanied by active members Mr. Tomar and Atul Shukla. During the visit, the team met Shri Sanjeev Kansal at his office, where Unit Chairman Sandeep Seth briefed him about the adventurous and developmental activities of Youth Hostels. Shri Kansal kindly agreed to accept the proposal. On this occasion, Satish Shukla extended a floral welcome, and Shri Kansal was honoured with the official YHAI badge by P L Mirendra. It is worth noting that the Korba Unit of Youth Hostel was established in 1999 under the leadership of Late Shri Sanjeev Soni. 26th August is celebrated as a Foundation day of YOUTH Hostel in the fond memories of Late Richard Schirrmann , a German Teacher.

Braving the lush monsoon landscape, around 60 enthusiastic trekkers from Raipur, Bhilai, and Korba units participated in the jungle trek, embracing both the thrill of adventure and the serenity of nature. The expedition was led by Unit Chairman Sunil Vishnoi and Unit Secretary Ashok Jhabak, who ensured a well-organized and safe experience for all participants. Among the active trekkers were Varun, Tarak, Raju, Rahul, Dr. Nishant, Rajendra Vaishnav, Sunita Nayak, Priyam Khare, and many others who added great energy and spirit to the event. The trek not only promoted physical fitness and environmental awareness but also strengthened camaraderie among YHAI members across the state.

The national flag was hoisted by Smt. Suman Seth and Swati Verma, marking the beginning of a vibrant and patriotic celebration.The program featured two patriotic dance performances by Shivanji and Kavya, which were warmly appreciated by the audience. Inspiring speeches were delivered by Aarav and Sankalp, capturing the spirit of independence and national pride. All participants were honored with certificates and mementos by YHAI in recognition of their involvement. Shri Tribhuvan Kaushik, Vice President of YHAI Korba, shared his thoughts on the significance of the day. Swati Verma also narrated a short and moving story highlighting the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Media Coordinator Shri Tarun Mishra gave an insightful overview of YHAI's remarkable growth over the past 26 years.
