The program was held under the leadership of State Chairman, Mr. Sandeep Seth, at Khetar village and Dhiharin Jhooja, located about 25 KM from Korba. Around 40 members of the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) enthusiastically participated in the event.As part of the global campaign “Say HI for Peace”, sweets and stationery were distributed to village school children. Members also enjoyed water sports, lunch, high tea, and cultural bonding activities. Active members including P. L. Mirendra, Kalpana,Swati and Tribhuvan contributed significantly to the success of the program. Certificates were awarded by the Chief Guest, Shri A. Y. Tomar (SE, CSPGCL) and Guest of Honour, Shri M. C. Soni.Many new members also took part along with the old members. Shiv Kumari, Shraddha, Babli, Myra, Navita, Beli, Padma, Ritika, Alka, Deepesh, R. R. Soni, Kanti, RS Sahu, DR Sahu, Rajkumar, Sanjay, Sadhna, Vijesh, Riya, Vihaan, Vivaan, Kunti, Vandana etc. participated in the program.All the paper disposals were disposed properly keeping the environment clean and green.The event concluded with group photography and a vote of thanks delivered by Secretary Mr. Shailendra.

We are delighted to share that Shri Sanjeev Kansal, Chief Engineer (DSPM, TSPO), has graciously accepted the patronship of the Youth Hostel Korba Unit.A delegation of core members including Satish Shukla, P. L. Mirendra, Shiv Kumari, Kalpana, and Unit Chairman Sandeep Seth visited the CSEB plant to present the proposal. They were accompanied by active members Mr. Tomar and Atul Shukla. During the visit, the team met Shri Sanjeev Kansal at his office, where Unit Chairman Sandeep Seth briefed him about the adventurous and developmental activities of Youth Hostels. Shri Kansal kindly agreed to accept the proposal. On this occasion, Satish Shukla extended a floral welcome, and Shri Kansal was honoured with the official YHAI badge by P L Mirendra. It is worth noting that the Korba Unit of Youth Hostel was established in 1999 under the leadership of Late Shri Sanjeev Soni. 26th August is celebrated as a Foundation day of YOUTH Hostel in the fond memories of Late Richard Schirrmann , a German Teacher.

Korba unit had a plantation program at Geetadevi Memorial School, Korba at 8AM. Saplings of Neem, Guava, Badam, Jamun etc. were planted by the team. Principal Nisha Aditya along with few staff members and members of YHAI were present during the plantation program. The program was organised under the leadership of shri P L Mirendra. Other members of youth hostels who were present are Kalpana, Shivkumari, Satish Shukla (President) , Seema, Shiv, Raju, Shailendra Namdeo, Sandeep Seth and Tribbhuvan Kaushik and Priyal. The program was followed by light snacks for the participating members.

The auspicious occasion was graced by Korba Mayor Smt Sanju Devi Rajpoot as a Chief Guest. Senior Member Suman Seth along with Shiv Kumari Welcomed Smt Sanju Devi by presenting a life plant. State Chairman highlighted the works of YHAI and presented a memento to the Chief Guest. Then the women's were welcomed and honoured with the Certificates for the work they are doing in different organization for the humanity. Sanju devi gave a dynamic speech and informed how women empowerment is increasing nowadays. She also praised and said that YHAI is working very well for the youths in korba for the past 25 years. After that, the first lady of Korba district, Mrs. Sanju Devi was honored on International Women's Day by the female members of the unit by giving her a certificate. The Youth Hostel also honored the Safai Didi's by giving them a certificate and financial help.Reena Mishra and Kalpana Seth prepared games for the members. Later on prizes were distributed to the talented winners. The program was coordinated by Ayendra Singh, PL Mirendra and Shailendra namdeo. Program also concluded by delicious dinner. Seema, Priyanka, Swati, Sheel, Preeti, Sharda , Savita, Padma Lalita, Rajesh, Vijesh, Manoj, Sanjay Tiwari , Bhupendra Rajpoot, Atul , Shalini etc were present in program and made the program a grand success.

Program was organized under the leadership of State Chairman Sandeep Seth, assisted by Treasurer P L Mirendra , Organising Secretary Rahul Gupta, Kalpana Seth and Subash Panda. Around 35 members from Korba, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Bhilai and Raipur participated in the program. Journey was done by 2x2 Bus from Korba to Prayagraj to Mirzapur and back. Members were very happy as this was the first religious trip which was organised by the unit. The participants were of all age group from 8 years to 75 years. Members had introduction , played indoor games like antakrshari, solo songs , certificate distribution etc. inside the bus only. Holy Dip was mesmerizing to one and all. All the members were happy to visit both the places. Reena Mishra, Roly, Shiv Kumari, Sankalp, Sandeep Pal, Newton pati, Surashree, Rashmi, Dr. Nishant, Dr. Vanya Tripathi, Mannu Sharma, Deepa , Nisha, Mohita, Vedant, Anuja etc helped in organising the program smoothly. Chairman informed that Youth Hostel, korba unit will soon make a program to visit Ayodhya and Kashi also.

Korba Unit celebrated Republic Day at Nehru Nagar today. President Satish Shukla (Chief Guest) hoisted the Flag and senior member Suman Seth (Guest of Honour) garlanded the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi along with Shiv Kumari. Our Special Guest Tarun Mishra gave a short speech on Republic Day. Aarav and Purav gave the speech. The solo dance was performed by Shivangi and Kavya. Group patriotic song was sung by senior members Suman Seth, Reeta Sharma and Kusum Lata Tamrakar. The highest membership generation award was given to Mrs. And Mr. P L Mirendra. A solo music performance was given by Sankalp Seth. The program was coordinated by State Chairman Sandeep Seth. The program ended with group photography and sweet distribution to all. Maya Rani, Poonam, Shivani, Aarti, Vijesh, Swati, Vivaan, Vikas, Vinod, Shiv Pradhan and many other members also joined the program and made the event a great success.

YHAI Korba and Bilaspur members participated in a friendly Cricket match organized by EX-Vidyut Grih School Students on 19 Jan 2025. Match was of 12 overs. Team-A scored 102 runs with 6 wickets and Team B won, scored 103 runs in 8.5 overs with 3 wickets in hand. Members who participated in the match from YHAI are Shailesh Shukla, Sandeep Seth, Rajesh Kurmi, E Jayan. Shailesh Shukla scored 32 runs, Sandeep Seth scored 28 run and remained not out. Shri Shyam Badpalli bhaiya Ex CSEB Employee and Karan Bhaiya, Businessman were the the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. All the participants were awarded with YHAI certificates. Guests were honored by small mementos. Many participants filled form of YHAI and took membership also. YHAI members thanked the School Teachers for involving YHAI in the program.
82024-202512-01-2025KORBAYHAI Korba Unit-CG State celebrated Swami Vivekanand Jayanti (National Youth Day) by organizing one day trekking & training in the River CHORNAI on 12th Jan 2025.YHAI Korba Unit-CG State celebrated Swami Vivekanand Jayanti (National Youth Day) by organizing one day trekking & training in the River CHORNAI on 12th Jan 2025.Korba unit successfully completed its Youth Day Celebration by Organizing one day family camping and trekking in the River Chornai, Near Lemru at a distance of 60KM from Korba. All the age group participants were present from 1 year to 80 years. The most important point was that the whole program was anchored by the youths. Youth Life Members Sankalp Seth, Vikas Namdev, Sourabh Soni, Rahul Gupta managed the river trek and games including beach ball play & ride on air filled boat. Other traditional games like MATKA PHORD, MIND games, putting ball in a basket etc. were also organized by youths. Bilaspur unit members also participated in the program under the leadership of Shri Shailesh Shukla. The whole program was organized under the leadership of Unit & State Chairman Sandeep Seth jointly with P L Mirendra and guided by Unit President Satish Shukla. Inclusion of Delicious Breakfast, Lunch, Tea , Music & Dance , Certificate Distribution etc. made the program a grand success. Many new members also joined the camp. Senior members Suman Seth, Rita, Kusum Lata, Maya rani, Nisha, Seema along with Reena, Kalpana, Jayan, Rajesh, Shailendra, Kalpana, Shiv Kumari, Nisha, Rolly, Sarita etc actively participated in the program. Chairman thanked all the participants and youths who managed the camp on the Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. At last the non plastic disposals were disposed off (burnt) properly to protect the environment by Shailendra.
92024-202527-12-2024KORBAYHAI Korba and Bilaspur Unit Jointly Organized 3D2N Guru Ghasidas National Tiger Reserve Trekking & Training Program at Sonhut Baikunthpur CGYHAI Korba & Bilaspur Units 3days joint program concluded successfully. Youth hostels korba and bilaspur unit organized a 3 days 2 night trekking & training camp at Guru Ghasidas National Tiger Reserve, Sonhut, Chhattisgarh from 27th to 29th Dec 2024. Around 50 members of all age group participated in the program. The program was organised under the leadership of State Chairman Sandeep Seth. Shailesh Shukla, Vice President Coordinated the program. Members from Korba, Raipur, Bhilai , Bilaspur & Kabirdham actively participated. On the first day team visited Chirmiri and took the blessings of Lord Jagannath, followed by visit to Amritdhara and Gaurghat at Manendragarh. Second Day team visited Hasdev Udgam Place, Gram Mendra Kala,Sonhut and then entered the Guru Ghasidas National Tiger Reserve where the participants had a 3 KM River Trek in Gopad River, then the team visited Tidiya dam, Followed by Visit to Ancient Temple Maa Gangi Rani & Nageshwar Mahadev Beejadhur. In the second half raining started due to which members saw the clouds from Basauha Tower passing down same as though we are in some hill station like Shimla. Team also visited Balamgadhi Mountain. The forest trek was guided by Mr Deep Dubey and Mr Suraj Prakash of Sonhut. Members thanked them for their kind cooperation. In the evening Certificate Distribution Ceremory was graced by Shri Shailesh Shivhare Ex-Nagar Palika Adhayash as a Chief Guest. Shri Kamlesh Sharma( President Press Club), Shri Dushyant Kumar (Chief Editor of Dainik Samyak Kranti) and Educatiolist Shri Baba Martand were the Guest of Honour. Shri Shailesh Shivhare also Welcomed Sandeep Seth, Shailesh Shukla & P L Mirendra , Core members of the association and informed that we are ready to provide any kind of help to YHAI members whenever needed in future programs. Later on participants were given the certificates by the Guests. The program was followed by dinner. On the very last day team visited Jhumka Dam , Korea Palace and Khadgawan Mahamaya Temple. Members were surprised that Korea District of Chhattisgarh State is enriched with many unexplored monuments and forest zone. Rahul Gupta, Dr Nishant, Jai Prakash, Shailesh Shukla , P L Mirendra helped in management and Gargi, Shiv Kumari, Reena , Mohita, Yogesh, Anand, Vikas, R K Sahu, Kusum, Manju, Kaushal, Mukta, Manoj, Dr Verma, Kanti, Rajesh , Neeraj etc members participated in the program.

Heritage Educational trip for Students was organized from 15th to 17th Nov 2024. Around 63 members participated in the program. The Principal of School Ms. Madhulika congratulated to all for the successful completion of the program. The program was comprised of visit to Tin Tin Stone, Jaljali, Tibetan Monastery (Old and New), Tibetan Camps, Reverse Water, Tiger Point, Mehta Point, Sunset Point, Ram Van Gaman Path, Sita Bengra Caves at Ramgarh , Certificate distribution ceremony , delicious food throughout the trip. The program was organised under the leadership of State VP Shailesh Shukla. He was assisted by Korba Treasurer PL Mirendra, State VP Satish Shukla and State Executive Dr. Nishant Agrawal. During the whole program, every kid exhibited appropriate discipline. The decisions were implemented with great cooperation from the school staff members Uttam Kumar Sahu, Urvashi Gupta and Pritam Kumar Yadav. Ladies members of YHAI KORBA unit organised a Charity Programme at Seva Bharati ashram in which they conducted Drawing, Spoon race, Musical chair ,Dance , Identify shapes, colors, fruits and vegetables , Ramp walk etc. for the children of Ashram.Members distributed New Clothes for the coming festivals. YHAI also donated books, Lactogen, Baby diapers, dusting powder to the ashram. Children were awarded Participation Certificates for this program. Sweets , fruits and Chocolates were also given to kids. The program was organised under the leadership of Reena Mishra, Kalpana Seth and Shiv Kumari. Other members who helped the team were PL mirendra, Satish Shukla, Sandeep Seth, Seema Shukla, Vishal Jain , Manoj Mishra , Preeti Soni, Mrs Jain etc.
