45 2019-2020 RAIGARH One Day Trekking & Training Program at TIPAKHOL - 16.02.2020 Members of Youth Hostel Association of India, Raigarh Unit successfully organised “ONE DAY TREKKING & TRAINING PROGRAM” at TIPAKHOL, RAIGARH(CG) on 16.02.2020 & at the end of the programme, members successfully conducted a “CLEAN DRIVE of all plastic and non- biodegradable garbage at Tipakhol” spreading awareness to “Say NO to the use of plastic for a plastic free society and clean environment”. Around 42 members along with the junior members successfully experienced the Trekking in forest area around the dam. After sumptuous lunch at the site, a “Clean-Drive” was conducted successfully by all the members with extreme enthusiasm. The programme was concluded with a small cultural programme and certificate distribution. This program is carried under the leadership of Sri Prashant Kr. Mishra (Chairman), Sri Suman Mandal (Secretary), Sri Sanjay Debnath (President), Sri Subash Chandra Panda (Treasurer), Smt. Rakhi Debnath (EPC In- charge) with Sri Ajay Jaiswal & Sri Shaiju Abraham (Executive Committee members) and other general members & family. All the members who had taken part in this program enjoyed a lot and learnt the ideologies of YHAI. Mr. R.K.Trivedi (Patron), Mr. K. Subramanyam (State Secretary) & Mr. Sandeep Seth (State Chairman) expressed their hearty congratulations to all members of YHAI Raigarh Unit for successful conduction of the programme.
44 2019-2020 RAIGARH Say NO to Plastic Rally Program – 02.12.2019 Members of YHAI, Raigarh Unit successfully organised Cycle rally in Khairpur and Tipakhol villages on awareness to “Say NO to use of plastic” where the message of “Plastic free society and clean environment” was given to all. Along with this, the harmful effects of usage of plastic in daily life were discussed in deep to make all aware of the severeness of the issue. Residents of Khairpur and Tipakhol villages were enriched by this rallys message and all promised to make our society as well as our environment-“Plastic free”. This program is carried under the leadership of Sri Suman Mandal (Secretary) with Sri Sanjay Debnath (President), Sri Subash Chandra Panda (Treasurer), Sri Ajay Jaiswal and Sri Shaiju Abraham (Executive Committee members), Sri Skaria Varghese (APC In-charge). Other members who had also contributed to take part in this program with utmost zeal: Mr. Aswini Kumar Sahu, Mr. Mahendra Kumar Dansena, Mr. Sk. Julfikar Ali, Mrs. Usha Vani, Mrs. Shwechchha Pandey, Mrs. Melvin Choubey and others which is really very much appreciable. Mr. R.K.Trivedi (Patron), Mr. K. 17 2019-2020 RAIGARH Bastar-Trekking & Training YHAI - 2019 On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee of Youth Hostel Association of India, 3D2N Bastar Heritage Program was organized by Korba Unit along with Raigarh Unit and Institutional Member O.P. Jindal School, Raigarh. 50 participants from Korba, Raigarh, Champa, Bilaspur and Raipur including 24 children participated in the program. The program was scheduled from 5th to 8th October 2019.Under the leadership of Mr. Sandeep Seth (Program organizer & HDC C.G. State) & Mr. Prashant Mishra (Chairman Raigarh Unit) all the participants gathered in Raipur, where news team of IBC24 made a documentary on YHAI trip and its mission. Mr. Ashok Jhabak and Mr Vikram of Raipur unit helped the team in managing dinner arrangements for all the participants. Then team later proceeded to Jagdalpur.YHAI CG state President Dr. K Subramaniam, Jagdalpur CCF Mohd. Shahid and Forest Officer Mr. Ashok Sonwani, streamlined the Govt. officials which helped the participants to run a Clean Drive program in Tirathgarh waterfall and collected 2 sacks and 4 cartoon foil, Plastic bottle, pouches etc. and disposed them.40 members of Andhra Pradesh's YHAI team reached Jagdalpur under the leadership of Mr. Bhaskar Rao ji HDC where they too saw all the waterfalls etc.Later on, team went to Danteshwari Devi and took the blessings of Danteshwari Devi. While enjoying Bastar Dussehra, everyone saw how the crown of the Mother Goddess is brought from there to Jagdalpur.
13 2019-2020 RAIGARH YHAI Raigarh Unit Sapling Plantation 08.09.2019 Annual Plantation program is successfully arrayed by the Eco club members of YHAI Raigarh unit on 8th September, 2019. Around 50 saplings were planted by 30 students of O. P. Jindal School and the members of YHAI Raigarh Unit in presence of President (Mr. Sanjay Debnath), Vice Presidents, Chairman (Mr. Prashant Mishra), Secretary (Mr. Suman Mandal), Treasurer (Mr. Subash Chandra Panda) and other members of YHAI. Students & YHAI members have been briefed regarding the responsibility of looking after these young saplings until they will be grown up as trees and would make our environment green and worthy for living. Whole programme was successfully arranged by Mrs. Soudamini Panda (Eco club In-charge), Mrs. Rakhi Debnath (EPC In-charge) & team. Mr. K. Subramanyam (Secretary, CG State YHAI) expressed his best wishes for the successful conduction of the program.
